Join the Wellvolution!

The Wellpower program is leading the charge to develop a culture of wellness at SMU.  Yes, we’ll admit it, we’re out to Wellvolutionize our University!

Because of our University’s commitment to health and wellness, the redesigned Wellpower program includes:

  • A new, streamlined website
  • Confidential access to an on-campus health coach
  • On-campus wellness seminars
  • Wellness challenges to help you develop healthy habits
  • Two reward cycles per year
  • Easy-to-manage points system
  • On-campus health screenings
  • Online health risk questionnaire
  • Naturally Slim program
  • Free Wellpower group exercise classes provided by Dedman Center

Wellpower focuses on increasing wellness in the areas of exercise and fitness, nutrition, stress reduction, as well as attaining and maintaining a healthy weight. “Our Approach” will provide details  on how you can plan, achieve, and maintain your wellness goals.

Participants have the opportunity to earn a reward after each of these two reward periods.

Reward Period 1:        August 27, 2012 – January 25, 2013

Reward period 2:        February 4, 2012 – June 21, 2013

The Wellpower program is open to benefits-eligible faculty and staff at SMU.

STEP 1: Register on the Wellpower site - The team captain or individual participant will go to wellpower.smu.edu to register.

STEP 2: In the Start a Team section, enter WELLPOWER.  This will ensure your team is registered in the Wellpower Wellness Challenge.

STEP 3:  Enter your SMU email address as your username and create your own Password.

STEP 4:  You will be asked to update your profile, which will include information such as name, preferred address, email, and health goals.

STEP 5: Team Captains may add team members by entering their teammates email address.  This will prompt an email to be sent to the participant notifying them of their team and allow them to update their profile. Participants who wish to complete the challenge on their own may create a “team of 1” and not add other team members.
